Both my wife and I like the scallops with Thai curry. Scallops prepared just right and not overcooked. Pork belly bun was moist and soft while the pork belly was tender. More important is the bun. You can't get the bun wrong, or the dish is wrong. The desserts were great with a slight sweetness. Tambo Tambo had a good coconut flavor and the Castella cake nice and soft. Thank you to the first group of spring culinary students. For discussion, if there could be a paid student lead cooking class of their dishes. When we pulled up at 9 am on a weekday, the cashier warned us that we would have a wait for our food, due to all the to go orders piled up before we got there. I had the Eggs Benny with braised short ribs and fried rice on the side. I was a little dubious about the short ribs so was going to go with the kalua pork eggs Benny, but when we sat down, the diner on the next table had the short ribs and she allowed me to take a glance at her short ribs. It looked scrummy and ended up tasting fabulous, the slightly sweetened boneless short ribs melting in my mouth. I also recommend the canned Thai Tea and would pour it over ice-it’s a generous 500 mls. We also had the mushroom and bacon omelet with a side of tater tots cooked brown and crunchy on the outside. The place is very small with 6 2-tops and 3 4-tops. Very nondescript on the outside- this is truly a hidden secret. The meals are huge so get 1 sweet and one savory entre, and share between 3-4 people.
