Get ready for an unforgettable weekend of tradition, rhythm, and ono local food! The Rissho Kosei-kai Buddhist Church of Hawai‘i invites you to its annual Bon Dance Festival on Friday and Saturday, July 11 & 12, from 6 PM to 9 PM, at 2280 Auhuhu Street, Pearl City.
✨ What to Expect:
Join the community in honoring Japanese culture through Bon Odori — traditional dances that celebrate life and remember ancestors. Enjoy live music, with traditional Japanese songs performed by hikariyama_torao, and immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere of lanterns, taiko drums, and joyful movement.
🎮 Family Fun & Local Flavors:
The event also features fun games for keiki and a variety of food booths serving up delicious local and Japanese favorites. Whether you come to dance, eat, or simply enjoy the lively vibe — there’s something for everyone!
