Pearl City Assault: Suspect Sought After Argument Turns Violent

Authorities are searching for a male suspect involved in an assault that took place in Pearl City on Monday, August 26, 2024, around 12:25 p.m. The incident occurred in the parking lot of 1029 Makolu Street when a 60-year-old man asked a woman sitting in a vehicle to move, as she was parked in a handicap stall without a placard. The woman explained she couldn't drive, prompting the man to approach the vehicle's driver.

An argument ensued between the complainant and the male driver, during which the suspect punched the victim in the face, causing injuries.

Suspect Description:

  • Male, aged 20-30

  • Approximately 5’7” tall, 170 lbs

  • Black hair, brown complexion, medium build

  • Wearing a hoodie, black shorts, and black slides

Suspect Vehicle:

  • 2013 Silver Hyundai Genesis

  • Hawaii license plate: SCY 844

Anyone with information about the suspect or the incident is urged to contact the police immediately.

Free Family Event at Pearlridge: HDS Tooth Fairy Fun Day with Games, Prizes, and Hall

Hawaii Dental Service (HDS) will host its HDS Tooth Fairy Fun Day this Sunday, October 6, at Pearlridge Center Mauka. The free event, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., will offer games, prizes, and educational activities for kids, including a Halloween costume contest. HDS dentists will be present to answer questions, and the event will focus on promoting good oral hygiene, especially with Halloween approaching.
