Pearl City High School Hosts "Train Like a Charger" Soccer Clinics for Youth
The Pearl City High School (PCHS) soccer program is offering youth clinics for aspiring athletes this November. The "Train Like a Charger" clinic will give boys and girls from 3rd to 6th grade the opportunity to learn from PCHS coaches and players.
The girls' clinic, led by PCHS Girls Program Head Coach Eric Arakawa, will take place on Tuesday, November 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The boys' clinic, guided by Boys Program Head Coach Sean Chang, is set for Wednesday, November 27, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Both clinics will be held at Pearl City High School, Edwin "Bino" Neves Stadium.
The participation fee is $15, payable in cash on the day of the clinic. The fee includes a t-shirt and refreshments. Parents are asked to bring exact change.

Makana Kids Halloween Contest Promises Fun, Prizes, and Dancing
The highly anticipated Makana Kids Halloween Costume Contest returns this Saturday, October 19, at Ka Makana Aliāiās Center Court. The free event kicks off with keiki registration from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., followed by the costume contest starting at 5:00 p.m. Children aged 0-12 are invited to showcase their creative costumes for a chance to win prizes in categories such as funniest/cutest, scariest, overall judges' choice, and most unique costume made from recycled materials.
The evening will be hosted by Magician Kaulana from Torch Hawaii and will feature a performance by Studio 808 Danceproject. In addition to the contest, participants can enjoy a game of āGuess Whoā with costumed judges, and after the contest, everyone can dance the night away at the Halloween Dance Party with DJ Ajax. This exciting event is open to the entire family, promising an afternoon of fun, creativity, and community celebration.
Free Admission for Kids in Costume at Hotel Transylvania 3 Dive'n'Movie Event
Get ready for a spooktacular day filled with family fun at the Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation Dive'n'Movie event! Join Count Dracula and his hilarious crew as they embark on a luxury monster cruise adventure. This exciting event features two showings of the movie at 12:00 PM and again at 4:00 PM, doubling the entertainment for all guests.
The park will stay open until 7:00 PM, giving everyone extra time to soak up the fun. Make sure to arrive early to snag the best spots for the movie! Even better, the Dive'n'Movie is included with park admission or a Season Pass. Donāt have a pass yet? Itās the perfect time to get one, giving you access to this event and others through the end of 2025.
Adding to the Halloween excitement, kids aged 3 to 12 who come dressed in full costumes can enjoy free admission before 11:30 AM. Costumes inspired by this year's themeāsuperheroes, video game characters, mythical creatures, and imaginative creationsāare highly encouraged.
The highlight for young attendees is the Halloween costume contest. Kids will compete for fantastic prizes, including:
First Place: A birthday party for up to 10 guests (valued at $450).
Second Place: Four 2024 Kahuna Season Passes (valued at $440).
Third Place: Four Single-Day Admission Tickets (valued at $260).
Judging will start at 2:00 PM, and winners will be selected in two age categories: 3-6 years old and 7-12 years old. Costumes will be judged based on originality, adherence to the theme, and overall presentation.
Kapena Live at Valor: Join Valor as they host an unforgettable night of live music with Kapena! Feel the music, grab a drink, and dance the night away on Saturday, October 19 from 9 pm to 2 am.
