Vendors Needed for Pearl City High School's Christmas Craft Fair
Pearl City High School's Project Graduation 2025 is inviting local artisans, crafters, and small business owners to participate in their annual Christmas Craft Fair. Scheduled for Saturday, December 14 from 9 AM to 2 PM at the Pearl City High School Cafeteria, this event provides a great opportunity for vendors to connect with holiday shoppers while supporting the senior class’s graduation program.
The Christmas Craft Fair aims to feature a variety of unique handmade items, crafts, and small business products, making it an ideal venue for showcasing creative goods to the Pearl City community. Participating in the fair allows vendors to reach a large, local audience of holiday shoppers, offering a boost to sales during the festive season.
In addition to benefiting vendors, the event supports the Project Graduation program, helping ensure a safe and fun celebration for the graduating class of 2025. Vendors interested in participating should act quickly, as spaces are limited and filling up fast.
For more details or to apply, vendors are encouraged to contact the event organizers at [email protected].
Pearl City’s Water Supply: A Call for Preservation During National Awareness Month
Communities nationwide have been coming together every October for the past decade to observe "Imagine A Day Without Water," a campaign that raises awareness about the significance of fresh water and promotes responsible use of this essential resource. This event encourages people to consider what life would be like without clean water, stressing the importance of sustainable water management for future generations.
In Pearl City, water is sourced from several wells managed by the Honolulu Board of Water Supply. These wells draw from Oahu’s underground aquifers, like the Pearl City Shaft, which supports local parks such as Lehua Community Park and Pearl City District Park. The island’s rainfall naturally replenishes these aquifers, and the water is treated to meet safety standards before distribution.
For many around the world, access to clean water is not guaranteed, and they face daily challenges in securing this vital resource. On Oahu, residents are increasingly aware of the need to protect and conserve water. The island's current water supply reflects the careful planning of past generations, reminding the community of the continued responsibility to preserve this resource for the future.
