Fire in Pearl City Apartment Building Displaces Five, No Injuries
A residential fire broke out on November 14, in a three-story apartment building located at 939 Luehu Street in Pearl City. The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) received a 911 alert at 3:21 p.m. and quickly dispatched nine units, staffed by approximately 34 firefighters. The first responders arrived within six minutes and found an active blaze on the building's third floor.
Firefighters immediately secured a water supply, launched an intense effort to contain and extinguish the flames, and conducted a primary search of the affected unit to confirm no residents were inside. The fire was brought under control and extinguished by 3:34 p.m.
The American Red Cross has been called in to assist five residents who were displaced by the incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the residents or HFD personnel.
The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation, with officials working to assess the damage and provide further updates when available.
