Aiea Shopping Center Unveils Vibrant Renovations with Community Celebration |
Local artists and new amenities highlight the center's refreshed look |
Aiea Shopping Center is thrilled to announce the completion of its extensive renovations, marking a new chapter in its over 50-year history.
The community is invited to join the "Refreshed & Rooted in Community" celebration on Thursday, August 21, at 11:00 AM in the open-air courtyard on the second floor.
The revitalization includes modernized elevators, updated signage, and a contemporary logo that honors the center's rich heritage.
Notably, commissioned mural art by local artists Jack Soren and Mysto Miyashiro adds a vibrant touch to the shopping experience.
The event will feature a traditional Hawaiian blessing, a Chinese lion dance by the Wah Ngai Lion Dance Association, and live Hawaiian music by Kaniela Nakashima.
Special guests will also share remarks, emphasizing the center's commitment to the community.
In addition to the renovations, the center has welcomed new businesses, enhancing its offerings.
For instance, The UPS Store opened its doors in February 2025, providing convenient packing, shipping, and printing services to residents.
Furthermore, the nearby Aiea Bowl underwent significant refurbishments in March 2023, introducing new lanes and the exciting HyperBowling experience.
These developments reflect the center's dedication to evolving with the community's needs while preserving its cultural roots.
All are welcome to partake in this festive occasion as Aiea Shopping Center celebrates its refreshed future together with the community. |
