Blessing Ceremony Marks Aiea Shopping Center's Vibrant Transformation |
Community gathers to celebrate extensive renovations and welcome new businesses |
The Aiea Shopping Center recently hosted a traditional Hawaiian blessing ceremony to commemorate the completion of its extensive renovations.
These enhancements include the installation of modern elevators, updated signage, and a refreshed logo that pays homage to the center's rich history.
Adding to the visual appeal, local artists Jack Soren and Chris Miyashiro have adorned the Aiea Shopping Center with vibrant murals, one of which beautifully depicts the nearby Kalaua’o Falls along the ʻAiea Loop Trail.
The revitalized center is set to welcome a variety of new tenants, including a spa, nail salon, waxing salon, and several new restaurants.
According to Kirk Horiuchi of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, these businesses are currently in the process of obtaining building permits, with openings anticipated in the coming months.
In addition to these developments, the center has recently welcomed The UPS Store, offering a range of services such as packing, shipping, printing, and business solutions to the community.
Furthermore, the beloved Aiea Bowl has undergone significant renovations, introducing new interior decor, refurbished lanes, and the exciting addition of HyperBowling, providing a unique twist on the classic game.
These collective efforts underscore the center's commitment to enhancing the shopping experience and serving as a vibrant hub for the Aiea community. |
