Brave & Bold Conference Empowers Youth and Parents in Pearl City

The upcoming Brave & Bold Conference in Pearl City is set to empower high school youth and their parents with the tools to navigate today's complex sexual landscape.

 

Organized by Explicit Movement in partnership with Leeward Community Church, this event aims to foster courage and confidence in addressing challenging topics.

 

Originally planned as a two-day conference, the organizers have pivoted to a one-night, power-packed event to make it free and convenient for attendees.

 

Both parents and youth will have separate tracks covering essential topics.

 

In the session titled NAVIGATE HOT TOPICS FACING YOUTH CULTURE TODAY, speakers Ed and Vera Schutte will share their compelling journey from sexual brokenness to healing.

 

They will provide practical steps for both youth and parents to navigate the complexities of today's sexualized culture.

 

Another session, BUILDING CONNECTION AND LAUNCHING INTO YOUR PURPOSE, will be led by Nancy Vuu.

 

She will discuss how living in sexual integrity positions individuals to step into the fullness of their purpose.

 

Attendees will learn how to nurture their dreams and those of their loved ones.

 

For parents, Nancy will cover practical ways to build a strong emotional connection with their children and teens, ensuring they become a safe and empowering presence.

 

The conference is scheduled for Friday, November 14, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Leeward Community Church, located at 1860 Komo Mai Drive, Pearl City, HI 96782.

 

Doors will open at 6:30 PM.

 

Admission is free, but attendees are encouraged to register in advance to secure their spot.
