The season of giving is getting an early start in Pearl City.

The Pearl City Foundation and Barry Villamil, with title sponsor Hawaiian Electric, will host the 2026 Toys for Tots "Drive By" Toy Drive on Saturday, December 5, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Momilani Community Center.

As reported by MyPearlCity, Toys for Tots collection boxes are going out to participating Pearl City complex schools during the week of November 2 through 5.

The boxes will be picked up from the schools on November 23 and 24.

Organizers are asking the community to support each Pearl City school's toy donation efforts.

That gives students and families about three weeks to help fill their school's box.

The drive-by itself is built for convenience.

Donors can bring a toy to the Momilani Community Center at 715 Hoomoana Street in Pearl City.

At the 2023 drive-by, MyPearlCity reported, volunteers accepted donations curbside near the center's entrance and Santa was on hand to greet donors.

The flyer carries the Toys for Tots Oahu logo alongside the Pearl City Foundation, MyPearlCity and Hawaiian Electric.

Organizers say the effort aims to bring smiles and joy to thousands of keiki on Christmas morning.

The event flyer sums up the idea with its theme: Give a Toy, Light Up a Holiday.

More information is available on the Pearl City Foundation's website.

Families with school-age keiki can watch for the collection box at their school, and everyone can mark Saturday morning, December 5, on the calendar.
