The Event by 808 Craft and Gift Fairs, hosted by the Pacific Palisades Community Association, is a fun community event for the whole family. Taking place over 4 hours, attendees can enjoy swimming, sliding, local foods, a craft and gift fair, and a rummage sale. Free parking is available for all guests. The event is open to the public and vendors are encouraged to participate. More information can be found at www.808craftandgiftfairs.com. |

This one-of-a-kind musical showcase brings to light the rich yet underrepresented legacy of African-descended individuals in Hawaiian history.
Featuring original mele inoa (name songs), the performance is a vibrant fusion of music, culture, and storytelling, led by celebrated artists including Grammy winner Kalani Pe‘a, Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winners Kamakakēhau Fernandez and Patrick Landeza, plus Ikaika Blackburn, jazz vocalist Azure McCall, and composer Māhealani Uchiyama with Hālau Ka Ua Tuahine, honoring lives and stories through song. |
In their first game of the season, Kohala High School's football team faced a tough loss against Pearl City. Despite putting up a good fight, Kohala ultimately fell short, with a final score of 31-6. Pearl City's strong defense played a key role in securing the victory, holding Kohala to just one touchdown throughout the game.
