Trivia Question❓

Pearl City, Hawaii is home to one of the busiest shopping centers in the United States. What is the name of this shopping center?

Answer at the bottom of the newsletter

Pearl City residents heard a packed update at the latest Neighborhood Board meeting, with urgent focus on traffic safety, a major sewer upgrade, and disaster readiness.

HPD’s “Take 30” initiative has increased ticketing for speeding and mobile device use, particularly near Puʻunī and Pearl Highlands.

A trenchless microtunneling sewer project will soon affect the Pearl Harbor Bike Path, bringing closures and detours as crews install 12,000 feet of new pipeline through 2032.

With hurricanes and wildfires top of mind, a new local readiness plan is underway—residents are urged to check home kits and build check-in routines.

The Board also discussed upcoming road safety changes, Red Hill Registry enrollment for health concerns, and student-designed dog parks.

Honors went to HPD Officer Tiade Perry and dedicated community volunteers as Pearl City continues to strengthen safety, sustainability, and resilience.
